LIONS YOUTH OF THE YEAR QUEST

The Lions Club of Gilles Plains club level judging was held on Sunday 14th Feb at the RSL Clurooms in Enfield. Two Students took part, the winner being Mary Brushe, a student from Kildare College, Holden Hill.   

                                                          

Runner up was Shadi Aluthwala a student of Wilderness School. Chief judge Geoff Catford commended both girls on their excellent presentation, and wished them well in whatever fields they choose to follow.

Mary's subject for the 5 minute prepared speach was "Why the World needs a Hero" and Shadi 's subject was "Love".

LIONS CHRISTMAS CAKES

The ever popular Lions Christmas Cakes continue to be a popular project for our club. Although Christmas has passed, cakes are still available. Please conatct any member whose name appears on this website.

Prices are

1.5kg cakes is $13-00,

1.0kg cake is $10-00.

LION MINTS

Lion Mints are availble from several outlets within the community. We sell PEPPERMINT anf FIZZERS. Each roll sells for 50cents and is considered as a donation towards Club, National, and International projects.

SAUSAGE SIZZLES

We conduct regular Sausage Sizzles at Bunnings Hardware, Parafield and Stratco Hardware, Gepps Cross. Profits from these events are used to fund Club, National, and International projects. Please consult our events page to see when next we are in your location.

ENTERTAINMENT BOOKS

The 2010-2011 Entertainment Book is available from any member of our club. Priced at $65-00 each they provide access to over $15,000 in valuable offers, valid through to 1st June 2011.
